LCB x Lactation Health

About LCB

Lactation Consultant Billing (LCB) is a company of medical coding experts supporting business solutions for lactation providers. Working in the industry since 2012 when the Affordable Care Act mandated preventive lactation coverage for U.S. women, LCB has been at the forefront in finding the best ways to get IBCLCs, CLCs and other lactation specialists paid for their work as part of the mother/baby healthcare team.

Patients cite cost as the main prohibitive factor in initiating consults and returning to their lactation consultant for follow up services. When you bill through insurance, you can dramatically improve patient experience and your revenue while lessening administrative burden. LCB compensation is based on a percentage of payments collected for you, not on an hourly rate or monthly fee, so you will always come out ahead and be profitable.

About Lactation Health

Lactation Health (LH) is the IBCLC and CLC clinical group that you’ve all been waiting for! The clinicians from Lactation Health are focused on high-quality, personalized lactation care in community-based practices where we prioritize the moms and babies we serve. We are a full-service practice that caters to home, office, and telehealth visits as well as group education in the perinatal period, making all aspects of your care as seamless as possible.

Healthcare and insurance have become unnecessarily complicated. Patients need care, while clinicians need to be free to serve without the burden of paperwork, filing, follow up and costs compromising the care they give. Lactation Health is a nationwide practice that breaks down those barriers to create better healthcare and better outcomes for the families who need us most.

Priorities Straight

Patients come first - we offer access to care through all major insurers

Simplified

One stop shop for credentialing, in-network coverage, and billing

No Barriers

Use LH when you need it, no non-competes, no artificial limits on visits

LCB x LH

Providers who manage their billing with LCB have the option to use some, all, or none of Lactation Health’s insurance contracts. This means that the base requirement to work with LCB is that LCB must manage your billing for your personal insurance contracts. If you use LCB for your personal billing, you can use Lactation Health’s contracts to fill in gaps where you can’t get your own in-network contracts.

You decide what’s more advantageous for your business goals. It’s the ultimate flex. Build your practice how it makes sense to you.

An efficiency expert, Lexa has set up LCB to both assist private practices with billing, offloading the administrative work that each practice typically has to do alone, and partner with Lactation Health to fill the gaps where providers can't get payer contracts due to closed markets or licensing complexities.
